World Ironwoman Champion, Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series Champion
Harriet Brown is a World Ironwoman Champion, Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series Champion, Australian Team Member & Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard Champion.
She is also an accomplished ocean swimmer, exercise physiologist, athlete mentor and coach, pilates instructor and public speaker.
As part of the Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series, Harriet competes all over the Australian coast. She has travelled the world competing in Surf Life Saving and Paddleboard racing, most recently vice-captaining the winning Australian Team at the World Surf Life Saving Championships.
One of her most anticipated events of the year is Lorne Pier to Pub swim, which she has won six times! When she has time away from Surf Life Saving she loves racing in open water swims.
Harriet grew up in Geelong but soon realised she’d had enough of the icy Victorian waters at Ocean Grove and wearing a full-length wetsuit. After finishing school, Harriet decided to move to the Gold Coast to train and study.
She now spends the early mornings and afternoons pushing her body to the limit and her days working as an Exercise Physiologist. She is passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle and absolutely loves her sport, which she can talk about for hours. Her passion, determination and leadership ability has seen her selected as the Captain of the Australian Surf Life Saving Team 3 times, and Vice Captain once. When she is not training in the pool, in the surf, or the gym, you will find her catching up with friends for coffee, chatting to aspiring athletes, or trying a new healthy recipe in the kitchen.
Harriet enjoys giving back to the sport by working with young athletes by running nipper clinics, surf skill sessions, workshops and mentoring. This has taken her all around Australia and overseas.
