After more than 20 years as an experienced professional and leader in the electronics industry, it felt like the right time for Derek to fulfill his lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur. Having coached and mentored hundreds of peers and engineers during his career, he finds true joy and satisfaction in helping others punch above their weight while enjoying the process.

Having experienced and executed lay-offs, surviving toxic bosses and offices as well as office politics that numbs the soul and stops progression, Derek is inspired and committed to helping people help themselves to overcome adversity and ultimately be better versions of themselves, at work and at home.

In the current world, especially in the hot pot of a red dot that is Singapore, there have been reports of massive lay-offs and job cuts, mental breakdowns due to stress and overwork, and even children are not spared due to the enormous pressure to be perfect in school with unrelenting peer and parent pressure.

With Quality Mind Global, he will put his passion where his heart is, which is to help these people in their most challenging times get the right lifelong tools to stay positive, manage the stress and pressure, and ultimately be happy.
